Summerslam 2023 is going to be the next premium live event planned in WWE’s calendar which also is the second biggest event of the year. For the third year in a row, WWE will conduct the show in a stadium and they do have a lot of plans in motion for the night scheduled for early next month.

The Detroit Ford Field from Detroit, Michigan on August 5th, 2023 is the place to be for Summerslam 2023 where the WWE Women’s Championship from the Smackdown brand is expected to be on the line. Rather than having a singles title match, it will feature a triple threat match, per the latest reports. The ongoing storyline perspective on Smackdown also suggests the same.

As of this writing, the plan for Summerslam 2023 is to have a WWE Women’s Championship Match Triple Threat where the champion Asuka will defend against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair at the same time. The match was hinted on Dave Meltzer’s recent report on F4WOnline.com.

Asuka vs. Flair vs. Belair planned for Summerslam 2023

As seen on WWE Smackdown June 30 episode, Bianca Belair was enjoying the show from the audience during the Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka Title Match. What appeared to be a physical battle between the two, spilled outside the ring, just in front of Belair. Shortly after, Flair accidentally hit Belair with a kick that was originally meant for The Empress of Tomorrow.

An irate Belair got involved in the match. She struck Asuka first, which forced the official to call for the match bell. Asuka was declared the winner as a result of the disqualification. The three of these superstars were then engaged in a verbal war which eventually got transformed into a physical war.

With Asuka trying to hit Belair, she was eventually planted with the KOD finisher. One KOD was also reserved for Flair through the announce table. This brawl was set up to create the three-way battle planned for Summerslam 2023.

Belair was the front-runner to get a championship shot since losing to Asuka at Night of Champions. Asuka used green mist on Belair’s eyes to come out as the winner. Belair was quick to demand a rematch but Pearce rather allowed Charlotte to skip the line and secure a title match on this past week’s WWE Smackdown. Now, until and unless the triple threat for Summerslam 2023 for the Women’s Championship gets announced, Belair will continue to show her wrath.
