With Survivor Series 2023 approaching, there’ve been a lot of speculations around the show and the main event of it. WWE recently appointed general managers for Raw and Smackdown which re-initiated the brand vs. brand war theme in time for the annual premium live event. At the same time, the Triple H-led regime will definitely not want the WarGames tradition to be a one-off either.
That being said, it seems like these two traditions will be clubbed together to produce the main event of Survivor Series 2023. In a wild bout, Raw and Smackdown representatives could be unleashed inside the WarGames structure to produce a hellacious bout as it appears via the ongoing storylines.

Survivor Series 2023: Raw vs. Smackdown WarGames Match in the pipeline?
A few weeks ago, Triple H appeared on the Smackdown season premiere to make Adam Pearce the General Manager of Raw while Nick Aldis became the General Manager of SmackDown. The next week, Aldis fined Jey Uso for interfering with his show, and he also ejected Pearce from the venue with Jey.
Then on Raw, Aldis apologized to Pearce for his actions and Pearce allowed him to stay to watch the show. Later, Pearce found Aldis talking to Raw stars and he wasn’t happy about it.

According to a report from Fightful Select, this feud between Aldis and Pearce began to set up the WarGames match between Raw and SmackDown at Survivor Series 2023. At least, that was the initial plan for the marquee match of the PLE, a few weeks ago.
Plans changed for the Survivor Series WarGames Match
In an update to the situation, WrestleVotes has now stated that the WWE creative wanted to keep the WarGames match exclusive for the Raw brand but the plans have since been changed,
“Regarding War Games, I’m told creative within WWE has gone back & forth for a while now on the matchup for Survivor Series. Within the last few weeks the thought was to keep the story only on the RAW side of things, but the sense from a source is that has now changed…”
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has taken a lot of shots at Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in recent times which also fueled up rumors about these two battling it out in the main event of Survivor Series 2023. However, Dave Meltzer previously dismissed this match in his reports via Wrestling Observer Radio.
