From next week onward, WWE will be on its way to set things gradually up for the Money in the Bank 2023 ladder matches. This year, the gimmick-based ladder matches will be special since for the first time, they will be hosted outside the familiar territory of the United States. London, England’s O2 Arena will be the place to be for the WWE PLE on July 1.
Participants for the ladder match are yet to be declared and it should mostly feature the young generation superstars from the Raw and Smackdown roster. Last year, Theory won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in his contract on the then United States Champion, Seth Rollins which failed miserably.
With only one Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to be challenged, the title picture was already monopolized in 2022 and the scope was less to do something with Theory. In contrast, the introduction of the new World Heavyweight Championship belt will allow the Money in the Bank 2023 contract winner to choose from two world titles. That being said, we present you five names who should be front-runners in winning the career-altering match and briefcase.
Logan Paul
Whether or not WWE fans like Logan Paul appear on WWE programming, he won’t stop making one-off appearances for matches in PLEs. Since Money in the Bank 2023 is going to be an international show, he’s likely to be inserted into the match card of the men’s MITB ladder match. By the end, if he does win the briefcase then it will automatically garner too much mainstream attention for the company.
Logan’s heel work has been appreciated by the WWE officials alongside his exceptional in-ring abilities. It’s safe to say that the celebrity YouTuber is on the radar of the WWE creative team to do something big in the future, possibly a title run. In that case, what better way to gear him up with the Money in the Bank 2023 ladder match win?
