A faculty strike occurred during 1997 forcing Trish Stratus to pick up a job at a local gym. Thus she met the publisher of MuscleMag International magazine to do some test shots. This landed her a lucrative deal of two more years. She became a regular face in this magazine to garner attention from the WWE. Two years later, she was able to grab the offer made by the company.
