The opening contest of Smackdown Live was really slow and sloppy at times. Charlotte and Becky Lynch are no doubt two super athletes. But the hectic traveling schedule from Australia has caught up with their body. It also looks like that the officials could not arrange a dream opponent for Charlotte Flair at Evolution. So the feud will continue throughout this month that has already become lengthy.

The next match between Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe picked up the pace a bit. Hardy’s high-flying offenses were able to arise the fans to some extent. But his win was not a clear one though. The referee declaring Samoa Joe as an incompetent person was to protect him from a loss. It also ensured that a bigger star like Jeff Hardy should advance to the Crown Jewel PPV event.

The Miz TV segment on Smackdown was a great one with The Miz again spitting fire with the mic. Technically, he could have been a far better opponent for AJ Styles for the next few months. Also, the Miz finally admitted the fact that WWE Championship is no more seen on the main event spotlight. It means that the creative team might address the problem for during the upcoming months.

The last act of One Night in Milwaukee took place on Smackdown Live. The expectations were pretty much high from this angle. But it definitely did not live up to the hypes as there no such expansion in terms of unexpected things. Lana proved herself to be right to end the Milwaukee chapter once and for all. For now, Rusev and Aiden English will continue their feud on Smackdown.

The main event of Smackdown Live was not bad either considering two veterans participated in it. It was good to see Big Show returning to action after so long time. He still has got something left in him when it comes to wrestling. But the officials needed more star power for the World Cup tournament. So Orton seemed a better option than a semi-retired wrestler.
