AJ Styles has been absent from consecutive episodes of Monday Night Raw. Last week, he was supposed to compete in a tag team title rematch against Team RK-Bro in a rematch from Crown Jewel but that match was pulled from the show. The top superstar was rumored to be have suffered from some kind of injury which may not be the case. A reliable source has now given updates about the real reason for his absence.
In a segment on this week’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer did confirm that AJ Styles is indeed suffering from a medical issue. The issue is believed to be non-injury related meaning that he’s not picked up any injuries during his recent set of matches. In his absence, Omos appeared on the show on both nights.

So, it appears that creative plans are still going ahead for AJ Styles and his gigantic partner,
“AJ’s got a non-injury medical issue, is what I was told. I’m sure he’s gonna yell and scream about it at some point, but that is what they said. A non-injury medical issue.”

AJ Styles and Omos to continue performing as a team
Going by the ongoing storyline, it appears that AJ Styles and Omos will continue to perform as a tag team in the near future. Since Omos has been targeting The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, these two are likely to enter a feud against the former Raw tag team champions.
As noted above, AJ Styles last appeared on WWE TV at Crown Jewel on October 21 as he and Omos wrestled Randy Orton and Riddle for the Raw Tag championships to come up short. There’s no timetable is available for the return of the former 2-time WWE Champion, as of now. Since Omos is getting pushed into a new feud, we assume his partner won’t be far behind o join him.
The 44-year-old superstar has been sidelined in the past, particularly with shoulder problems. However, the current nature of the non-injury medical issue is unknown. AJ Styles had previously expected that his career would be over before anyone could assume but he’s thankful about getting to perform much longer than expected.
