Over the past two episodes of WWE Raw, two consecutive injuries were caused by Shayna Baszler. The former WWE NXT Women’s Champion took out Eva Marie, and before that her former tag partner, Nia Jax was taken out of commission by her. Both the victims had their hands placed inside the steel steps at ringside with Baszler stomping down on their arm.
This was genuinely believed to be injuries caused for storyline needs that don’t have any connection with reality. The two WWE Raw Superstars were also mentioned for storyline injuries following the attacks. Marie was diagnosed with a possible dislocated elbow while Jax suffered an elbow posterior fracture and a dislocation of her left elbow. WWE also confirmed that Jax would be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.

In an update to the situation, PWInsider noted that Eva Marie was backstage at this past episode of SmackDown for the Night One of WWE Draft 2021. She was selling her injury by wearing a sling all night but she wasn’t picked by WWE Raw or Smackdown during the draft.

An injury angle should continue on WWE Raw
The report from the source also noted Nia Jax was not backstage as WWE ruled her out of action following that attack by Baszler. Updates claim that she’s actually taking an extended period of time off from WWE TV. So, the attack by Baszler was WWE’s way of writing the former champion out of the picture for some time.
Marie has not commented on the injury angle as of this writing. There’s no update is available on whether she will be seen on this upcoming episode for the Night Two of WWE Draft. However, she did claim to file a lawsuit against Baszler on social media for the latter’s relentless actions. Perhaps, this angle would be continued on Monday Nights.
Meanwhile, Shayna Baszler sounded happy for going berserk on Jax and Marie as she stated the following on last week’s WWE Raw,
“You know, I think something about this business that people don’t understand is just how often we have to do things when we don’t feel good,” Baszler said. “Last week… Nia was my only friend in the locker room, and I can say that now. That didn’t feel good, you know? But tonight… tonight felt good, and I realized that, that is exactly the feeling that I’ve been chasing this whole time. I think I’m going to keep chasing that.”
