Since the invention of the new generation of WWE, Vince McMahon has been the Chairman of the company for almost four decades. He ruled the company with an iron fist but that reign came to a sudden end, last year after he was accused of a hush money scandal. Reports allegedly claimed that he could have bribed some of his female talents to hide some sort of scandal.
Recent reports suggest that Vince McMahon still has plans on returning to WWE even after retiring at the age of 76 and obviously many fans and pro wrestlers are against this decision. However, the former Boss is still determined to return to WWE just so that he can sell the company he could get rid of his shares.

According to a new report by the Wall Street Journal, Vince McMahon wants to make a return to the WWE since he still has majority voting power in WWE,
“Mr. McMahon, who has majority voting power through his ownership of WWE’s Class-B stock, has told the company that he is electing himself and two former co-presidents and directors, Michelle Wilson and George Barrios, to the board, the people said. The move to reinstate Mr. McMahon, which the board previously rebuffed, and the others will require three current directors to vacate their positions.”

With Wrestlemania 39 three months away in the calendar, this does create an interesting situation in the WWE. Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan are currently the co-CEOs of WWE while Triple H is the Chief Content Officer. But if Vince McMahon decides to make his comeback then things in corporate as well as on WWE TV content will be drastically changed despite many feeling this will be a setback.
WSJ has also revealed that Vince is basically holding WWE hostage now as he has threatened the current Board of Directors that unless he gets a direct involvement as Executive Chairman from the outset of a strategic review, he won’t approve upcoming media-rights deal or sale.
The backstage vibes were improved in the WWE since the former Boss was gone in the summer of 2022 and there have been concerns regarding his reported return. Fightful Select talked to multiple WWE Superstars and they are worried about Vince McMahon possibly making his comeback to run the creative department instead of Triple H.
