A huge change is likely to be hitting WWE programming as two new creative members will be taking things over. Both the prime shows will run from now onwards under two veteran names of the pro-wrestling industry. Brock Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, will be the new Executive Director of the company’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw.

As for Smackdown, the man behind WCW will be in charge of the show. Eric Bischoff returns to the big league on the verge of WWE’s move to the Fox Sports in the fall of this year. They both will be directly reporting things to none other The Boss himself i.e. Vince McMahon. This gives them the utmost responsibility of creative things on both the shows. Here’s more from WWE.com,
“WWE has named Paul Heyman as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw and Eric Bischoff as Executive Director of SmackDown LIVE, newly created positions reporting directly to WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.
In their executive roles, Heyman and Bischoff will oversee the creative development of WWE’s flagship programming and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business. The creation of these roles further establishes WWE’s ability to continuously reinvent its global brand while providing two distinct creative processes for its flagship shows.”

Now the main question is when can we expect Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman to take things over on the two prime shows delivered by WWE? With a major backlash going on towards Vince McMahon, this was a much-needed move from WWE perspective. As per the recent reports, they are on the verge of coming back on TV playing new roles.
According to a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff are likely to make ‘imminent’ appearances on WWE shows. Most probably, mid-July will be the exact time when they will be in charge of their respective shows, assigned. The next big event for WWE will be Extreme Rules PPV on July 14th. We are unsure whether they will be playing any roles on this show.
Two people who pushed our industry and @WWE forward over the last 25+ years. Great to have @HeymanHustle and @EBischoff working on #Raw and #SDLive. Welcome BACK to the team. https://t.co/e5gxEVgl8r

But if reports are any indications then they are likely to make bookings for Summerslam 2019. The genius brains of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff are likely to play important roles to re-vitalize WWE programming which is a long-needed thing. Hopefully, the veterans will deliver as per their demand to save WWE from AEW threats.
