Carmella has become one of the mainstays of the current women’s division in the WWE over the past few years. While some of her contemporaries found their way to the exit from the company, this woman has become a multi-time champion in the WWE to cement her spot on the roster be it on Raw or Smackdown.
She is trying to have a great run with the Women’s tag team championships, heading into Wrestlemania 38. Unfortunately, WWE didn’t have enough plans available for the reigning tag champions in Carmella and Zelina Vega. Since the Show of Shows is approaching closer, one-half of the champs is praying to have that norm changed.

During the latest episode of WWE After the Bell Podcast with Corey Graves, Mella joined the show to promote her and Graves’ upcoming YouTube reality series titled “Corey & Carmella”. While talking about the show, she spoke about how WrestleMania 38 is coming up and that wants to be a prominent name on the card given she is currently one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Carmella demands a prominent presence as a champion
“I am one half of the Tag Team Champions, although we haven’t really been doing much as of late,” Carmella said. “I have no idea what’s in the future for the Tag Team Champions, I would really like to have a WrestleMania moment.
I’ve never had a WrestleMania moment in my entire career and I’ve been here since 2016. You can say I won the WrestleMania Women’s battle royal and that was great, but I’m talking, I want a moment. Carmella and Queen Zelina won the Women’s Tag Team Titles back in November 2021 by defeating the former champions Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross. Since then, they only had only one title defense on TV that was a rematch against Ripley and Nikki. Apart from this match, the new champions didn’t feature or wrestle, regularly on TV.
Thankfully, though, Naomi and Sasha Banks vs. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Carmella and Queen Zelina Vega, has been announced for WrestleMania 38. Naomi announced during last week’s SmackDown that she and Banks were coming for the titles. Then in a backstage segment, Mella and Vega accepted the challenge to make the title match, official.
