Wrestlemania 38 season was officially kicked off with the 35th edition of the Royal Rumble event on January 29th. Two separate Rumble matches that took place on the show, crowned the respective winners will go down to capture their spots at the main events of the Show of Shows in April.
In general, the Men’s Rumble winner gets to choose from the WWE/Universal Championship from Raw/Smackdown while the Women’s Rumble winner gets to choose from the Raw/Smackdown Women’s Championship. But how about a one-off idea that could be entertained by the WWE creative team, this year. At least, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has such a suggestion about Wrestlemania 38.

Rumble winner can go after tag titles for Wrestlemania 38?
With that being said, we can see Nikki Bella in more matches beyond Wrestlemania 38. For the time being, she kept her focus on winning the Rumble match and seize a title match at The Biggest Event of the Year. During her podcast, she also revealed a unique idea for the WWE where the Rumble winner may go on to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Titles instead of going after a traditional Women’s Title.
“I would kind of like to be the first-ever winner of the Royal Rumble, to kind of give the middle finger to both champions and go ‘I want the tag titles.’ Like, how badass would that be? Would I not just be the coolest person to go down in history. I feel like I would have a little Stone Cold Steve Austin to me-esque,” Nikki pitched the idea about Wrestlemania 38.
In 2020, Charlotte Flair won the Rumble and opted to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship held by Rhea Ripley that appeared to be a unique idea generated by the WWE Creative. Only time will tell whether WWE will be listening to this latest pitch made by Nikki for Wrestlemania 38 to make the tag titles more prestigious.
