Wrestling fans were delighted to see WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin coming back to action for one night only at WrestleMania 38. He is one of the most iconic characters in the sports entertainment business who changed the game. He has become synonymous with it for his charisma and power to attract people. He helped bring the Attitude Era and stayed the biggest star in the company for a long course.
Over the entire WrestleMania 38 season, WWE had been building a feud between Kevin Owens and Steve Austin. The storyline included Owens constantly going badmouth at Austin’s home state of Texas which led to the most stupendous KO Show in the history of WWE.

Beer cans and Stunners flew all around the arena to put a grand end to the event.
With the huge win, Austin broke an impressive record at WrestleMania 38 which was previously held by another WWE Hall of Famer Edge. As revealed by Reddit user /u/PickledPeppers101, Austin now holds the record of main-eventing WrestleMania after the longest gap which is of 21 years.

Wrestlemania 38 marked the huge return of The Texas Rattlesnake
Austin’s last WrestleMania main event took place in 2001, where he won a match against The Rock. This was previously held by Edge, who main-evented WrestleMania 24 in 2008 (against The Undertaker) and then WrestleMania 37 in 2021 (against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan). Austin also competed in a match at WrestleMania 38 which is after 19 years following his match with The Rock in 2003.
Austin has openly stated that WrestleMania 38 marked the farewell match of his career but we will have to wait and see what could be next in store for him, now that he finally made his in-ring return.
While speaking during an interview after his match at WrestleMania 38, Steve Austin noted his in-ring return. He gave huge props to Kevin Owens for being his opponent with the below statement,
“I came here looking for anything. This is where I started. I was lucky enough to finish here, KO is outstanding, and he ran his mouth a little too much, and it caught up with him, but it was really an honor to be here on such a stacked card with so many great matches.”
