Wrestlemania 38 is more than three months away in WWE calendar but the company has started planning around the show. Stone Cold Steve Austin is a huge name for the WWE Universe who is often considered to be one of the biggest names from the Attitude Era of the WWE. Going by the recent reports, he is possibly coming back to the Show of Shows as it’s set from his hometown.

Austin was rumored to appear at WrestleMania 38 several months back as he appeared in the initial promos for the PPV event. Now @WrestleVotes reports that WWE officials are very much interested in having the legendary wrestler be a part of the show that takes place in Dallas next year.

“Talked to a few different source this weekend & heard the same thing, WWE is very interested in having Steve Austin as a part of WrestleMania this year in Dallas.

Not in a wrestling role, but a meaningful part of the event outside of just appearing. Up to creative at this point,” the source informed.

Wrestlemania 38 to create history in the WWE

WWE will return to the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas in April 2022 for two nights of WrestleMania 38. Both Austin and The Undertaker are the home-grown names to this state. Hence, both these legends are likely to be involved in the show in some capacity. Undertaker is scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during the upcoming weekend, while Austin could end up being the host of the show, although nothing is confirmed, at this point.

It was noted that WWE wants The Texas Rattlesnake to be “a meaningful part” of WrestleMania 38, but not in a wrestling role and it will be more than just one-off appearances. There’s no update on if Austin himself is interested in appearing at The Biggest Event of The Year, or what WWE creative could come up for the legend as we expect some more updates in due course.

Austin has not appeared on WWE TV since the March 16, 2020 edition of RAW, which was the special “3:16 Day” episode. Wrestlemania 38 could mark his return while his final appearance on this biggest stage came six years ago at the AT&T Stadium, where he, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley took out The League Of Nations.
