Wrestlemania 39 card is coming together following the conclusion of Royal Rumble 2023 PLE, this past Saturday night. WWE has now announced two huge championship matches slated to take place at the April event during the post-Royal Rumble 2023 episode of Raw.
Last night, it was confirmed by the WWE that Roman Reigns will indeed defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 39 while Charlotte Flair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Rhea Ripley.

It should be noted that Rhodes won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match while Ripley won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match this past Saturday night at the 2023 Royal Rumble premium live event to earn a shot at the Women’s Title and the Undisputed Title, respectively.

Update on Elimination Chamber PLE matches
As Ripley announced her pursuit for the Smackdown Women’s title, WWE will decide Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Title match opponent at Wrestlemania 39 via an Elimination Chamber match scheduled for next month’s Elimination Chamber PLE.
Four Women have already qualified for the chamber match and those are the final four women who were eliminated in the Women’s Royal Rumble 2023 – Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross, and Asuka. A Fatal-4-Way match on next week’s Raw having the lineup – “Michin” Mia Yim vs. Candice LeRae vs. Piper Niven vs. Carmella will decide the fifth chamber match participant.
There are also some rumors that WWE reportedly has plans to split up the two World Titles on the Road to Wrestlemania 39. Elimination Chamber PLE could witness the two world title belts go separate ways. But this year’s Elimination Chamber structure won’t include any world title defense at the PLE.
Rather, United States Champion Austin Theory will put his US Title on the line inside the steel cage structure. As for Reigns, there are rumors about Reigns possibly facing Sami Zayn in a singles contest at the upcoming PLE.
