Brock Lesnar’s absence from Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 continues to be a talking point for the fans over the past couple of days. He was suddenly removed from the big event listing and the speculations started even bigger about what could be the reason behind WWE pulling a top name like him from the card.

In an update from a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted how Brock Lesnar was never booked for WrestleMania Backlash 2022. This comes despite the fact that WWE had him advertised for the event until this week.

The previously released poster prominently featured him in the middle alongside other top superstars like Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. The Beast was promoted for the event since it was first announced. But he was pulled from the talent listing for WrestleMania Backlash 2022, earlier this week.

However, the source noted that there were never plans for him to appear on the show. The Observer called the promotion to be “a different type of false advertising than WWE usually does”.

It was added that this is not a situation where WWE management had to pull a talent or someone was forced to miss an event due to a health issue. The Observer stated that WWE Officials always knew Lesnar won’t be available for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 but they went on to advertise him for the show, anyway.

Brock Lesnar has not been seen on WWE programming since losing the WrestleMania 38 main event to the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. He is currently advertised for Money in the Bank, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 2 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
