Top match at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 now has a stipulation after what transpired on WWE Raw and it will provide a certain disadvantage for the Judgment Day faction. The heel stable won’t be having a member during the singles encounter that WWE has officially announced a few weeks ago.
As confirmed by WWE, AJ Styles will face WWE Hall of Famer Edge at WrestleMania Backlash 2022. This is going to be a rematch from WrestleMania 38 where Edge defeated Styles via distraction by Priest. That was also the first night that Priest got himself aligned with the veteran to form the faction.
WWE Raw: Two Former Bullet Club Members Have Surprise Reunion
In an update to the storyline, Priest has now been banned from ringside for this Sunday’s Edge vs. AJ Styles match at WrestleMania Backlash 2022. Over on WWE Raw, AJ defeated Priest in singles action and per the stipulation, Priest is banned from ringside for coming up short.
After the match, Styles received a beatdown from Priest and Edge until Finn Balor made the save. This also appeared to be a ‘too sweet’ reunion between the two former Bullet Club members, for the first time on Raw.
WWE Raw: Seth Rollins Hailed Absolutely Brilliant For Appreciation Segment
For the past several weeks, The Judgment Day stable formed by Edge and Priest have been feuding with Styles since joining forces at WrestleMania. With the number games by their side, the two heels dominated Styles but the Phenomenal One has now found a backup.
There’s also been talk of a female member joining the faction, possibly Rhea Ripley, but no confirmed update is available on when WWE will include her in the group. WrestleMania Backlash could be a suitable spot for this to happen now that Priest is banned from ringside during the Edge vs. Styles II.
