WWE Backlash 2023 is the next special event scheduled on the WWE calendar and Brock Lesnar should be part of it. He was angry about not getting the main event spotlight at WrestleMania 39 and he took out all the frustrations, a night after the Show of Shows. The main-eventer of WrestleMania 39 turned out to be his victim and that attack will now set up a match at the next WWE Premium Live Event
Brock Lesnar didn’t leave Raw last week without destroying Cody Rhodes, and the latter one wasn’t obviously happy about how things turned out. So, this week on Raw, Cody got the chance the backfire with a mic in hand and he was also quick to issue a challenge for WWE Backlash 2023. Next week, when Lesnar returns, we will get to know whether the match will be made official or not.
As noted above, Lesnar destroyed Cody Rhodes last week on Raw for nearly 10 minutes in the main event segment where they were supposed to team up against The Bloodline in a tag team match with the stipulation suggesting that a win could put Cody back into the championship hunt for the two top world title belts possessed by none other than Roman Reigns.

Now that the opportunity has been vanquished, Cody Rhodes returned on this week’s episode of Raw and delivered a strong message to the Beast Incarnate. Although, Cody didn’t get that much time on the microphone at all, but he certainly spat fire with it in a furious promo directed at Brock Lesnar. He called out Lesnar for not being happy with his WrestleMania spot before challenging him to a match at WWE Backlash 2023.
WWE Backlash 2023: Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes could be the main event of WWE PLE
As the current storyline progresses, we can certainly expect these two superstars to get involved in the potential main event of WWE Backlash 2023. This is most likely to be the biggest option that WWE would have, given that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns won’t reportedly be on the card.
Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes were both part of the WrestleMania 39 card on Sunday night but they were featured in different matches. Lesnar opened the night by defeating Omos while Cody Rhodes closed the show of shows against Roman Reigns after coming up short to win the titles.
