Within a month from now, WWE Backlash 2023 will arrive as the first premium live event in the post-Wrestlemania 39 season. This will be the first time that a WWE PLE/PPV will be held in Puerto Rico since January 2005 when WWE hosted the New Year’s Revolution with an Elimination Chamber match being the headliner.
Being an event in an international capacity, some top superstars should be involved at WWE Backlash 2023 like Bad Bunny who will be the host of the PLE. Additionally, he is also expected to feature in action on that night in his hometown of San Juan. Plus, the top-most attraction of the WWE roster, Brock Lesnar is also expected to compete in a match on that night.
WWE Backlash 2023: The Undertaker And Former Intercontinental Champ Scheduled To Appear?
The seeds of this match at WWE Backlash 2023 were planted on the Raw after WrestleMania 39 where the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was confronted by His challenger from the prior night, Cody Rhodes. The segment eventually led to a dream main event tag team match with the lineup of: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa) vs. Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar
This tag match never took place as Lesnar turned heel and laid out Cody with a vicious attack for more than seven minutes. Apparently, this was done to commence a brand new feud which should produce a big match for any of the two upcoming premium live events.

Lesnar vs. Rhodes planned for WWE Backlash 2023?
According to The Wrestling Blog, Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes could either take place at WWE Backlash 2023 in early May or at King & Queen Of The Ring in Saudi Arabia in late May,
“For what I know as of right now, Cody vs. Brock is potentially taking place at Backlash. I asked 2 of my sources they both give me the same answer.
Backlash is the current plan, but there’s been talks of King & Queen Of The Ring PPV too, but Backlash is the main plan.”
Cody hasn’t spoken about his condition since that brutal beatdown by Lesnar but he will be in attendance at this week’s Raw from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Probably, a challenge for the Beast Incarnate at WWE Backlash 2023 could be issued on the show.
WWE Backlash 2023 premium live event emanates, live from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, May 6. No matches or superstars have officially been confirmed for the show except for Bad Bunny’s involvement in his hometown to be the host of the PLE.
