WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Hell In A Cell Announced; Updated Card

Seth Rollins vs. WWE Hall of Famer Edge III has long been rumored and the stakes for this match at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, have been raised. The two star performers will now compete inside the Hell In A Cell structure and that match has now been made, official for the upcoming PPV.

This week marked the SmackDown on FOX season premiere episode where Edge made his return to respond to Rollins’ challenge for their third match. Edge obviously gave a positive response to the challenge and then proposed the Hell In A Cell match between the two. Once the show went off the air, the bout for WWE Crown Jewel 2021 was confirmed via an announcement on Twitter.

WWE Crown Jewel 2021 will be the rubber match between Edge and Seth Rollins. The dream match took place at SummerSlam 2021 on August 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada which Edge won but then Rollins defeated Edge at Super SmackDown on September 10 from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Edge was stretchered out of the arena on that night and it was supposed to be the end of their feud but Rollins continued gunning for a third match as the build continued. Last week, Rollins invaded Edge’s house to haunt him while this week, Edge took revenge by spearing him to the mat. After this, the third match was proposed and thereby announced for Crown Jewel 2021.

This will be Edge’s second-only Hell in a Cell match in his entire career. Previously, he featured in the main event of Summerslam 2008 for a loss against The Undertaker. As for Rollins, he featured in three Cell matches in his career, one win against Dean Ambrose (2014), a loss to Kevin Owens (2016), and a draw against The Fiend Bray Wyatt (2019).
