The annual shakeup of the roster is conducted through the WWE Draft and we can expect that a 2022 edition will be in-store. WWE has this tendency to keep things fresh on Raw and Smackdown on a yearly basis but then again the barrier often gets broken as Vince McMahon allows superstars on any of the weekly shows.
Despite this, WWE Draft remains an exciting event where we can expect full of twists and turns. In general, the event gets hosted on two different nights, one for Raw and one for Smackdown. It appears that WWE already has a timeframe in mind for this year’s draft, as per the recent updates received from a reliable source.

Ringside News has been told that WWE Draft is being planned for September. Given that WWE creative, specifically Vince McMahon keeps on changing his mind, that timeframe can always change, but at least it’s good to know that the exciting process will come back, later this year.

WWE Draft is slated to happen in the 2022 fall
The 2021 WWE Draft date was moved at least a couple of times and it was eventually slotted into October. The same could be noticed with this year’s edition, too, until it is officially confirmed.
“We’ve asked around about plans for the next WWE Draft. We were told that, at this time, it is slated to go down in September.
This means WWE has a few months to situation things and, hopefully, acclimate recent NXT call-ups before they shake things up,” Steve Carrier of the source noted on Twitter.
It was noted by the source that WWE Superstars usually aren’t aware of the happenings around the WWE Draft to a large extent. Some main event names get informed about their position at the last moment but the others have to wait for the actual process to begin. Vince McMahon likes to get an organic reaction during the draft time while making an unexpected shift or breaking up a tag team, unexpectedly.
As noted, WWE Draft 2021 edition took place in October of last year where the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, and Edge were the top picks. For the past few weeks, there have been some cross-brand appearances given that there’s been only one top champion for both Raw and Smackdown.
