WWE Raw women’s championship was on the line on last night’s Elimination Chamber. Ronda Rousey is the reigning champion who is poised to prove herself as the best that WWE has to offer. So there’s no way that she was going to miss the pay-per-view event. So the McMahons named Ruby Riott as the new contender for her title. But she could offer the least resistance to the reigning champion who picked up the quickest win.
Charlotte Flair arrived at the ring prior to the match began at Elimination Chamber. She cut a promo on how Becky Lynch is always craving for the crowd’s attention unlike her. She sat on a chair to observe who is going to main event WrestleMania with her. Moments later, Ronda Rousey entered the ring dressed as Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat 11. Ruby Riott was not willing to enter the ring with her, initially.
What to expect from this week’s WWE Raw
Details from historic women’s Elimination Chamber match
Riott took some punches on Ronda Rousey only to receive some quick arm-drags by the champion. So she went to the outside again to take a breather. Upon coming back to the ring, Riott took some shots from Rousey to go down. A Piper’s Pit was waiting for her after which the arm-bar got locked in. Riott tapped out to give away an easy win to the champion at Elimination Chamber.
Becky Lynch appeared on the scene to attack Charlotte Flair with a crutch. She continued to deliver the beatdown before turning her attention to Ronda Rousey. The champion also suffered the wrath of the 2019 women’s Royal Rumble winner for sometimes. She was bleeding badly from the forehead before the officials ran out to stop Becky Lynch.
Technically, Ronda Rousey is a far bigger name than Ruby Riott who was a clear-cut favorite at Elimination Chamber. But Ruby Riott is someone who has the mentality like a predator. She likes to use the Riott Squad in her favor to capitalize on the opponent via the number games. This was a certain concern for Rousey fans heading into the match.
Also, Charlotte Flair declared to be present at ringside during this match at Elimination Chamber, a week ago. She has received the opportunity to challenge Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania. It has now become the most hated decision in WWE’s history that made her the most villainous character. No wonder why the crowd was so happy to see Becky Lynch beating her down at Elimination Chamber.
