WWE Evolution pay-per-view event was literally a celebration of the women as the match card only featured the female superstars. Starting from mid-2015, WWE’s women’s division went through a literal evolution in time forward and the culmination of that event in 2018 was a shoutout to those ladies who helped to break down the barriers with the men’s division.
It’s been a long time since WWE Evolution 2018 and the only edition of the event. When Vince McMahon was in charge of the WWE, fans left hope to see it getting revived, ever again. While women’s wrestling fans enjoyed this PPV, it was said to be one of the worst drawing pay-per-views of all time in WWE’s history.
Reason WWE Hell In A Cell Premium Live Event Not Returning In 2023

Veteran Mickie James confirmed this fact and this is one of the reasons why WWE Evolution never found its way back to the company’s schedule. Hope is now there that fans will see another event like WWE Evolution with Triple h being the Chief Content Officer of the WWE and Stephanie McMahon being the co-CEO of the company.

WWE Evolution wanted back by current company head-honchos
According to Dana Brooke, the current 24/7 Champion during her conversation with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston, a similar PPV like WWE Evolution could be in store in the near future.. Although “it might not be Evolution, but it might be something like it.”
Brooke went on to say that Paul “Triple H” Levesque, “has always believed in women and had their back. He’s always been promoting and pushing women.” Also, Stephanie McMahon, is “always for women empowerment, always, always, always.”
In addition to this, Xero News added that WWE co-CEO indeed wants to bring WWE Evolution PLE back in 2023:
“They’re looking to bring in Evolution again, that’s what Stephanie is pushing. She is pushing heavily for that.
She wants another All-Women’s pay-per-view. What might happen is Evolution might run the same weekend as one of the other Premium Live Events.”

As for the concerns related to the previous lesser buys for WWE Evolution, the company doesn’t have to work on PPV buys / WWE Network buys, since in the US market the Network has been moved to Peacock in the US now. In the changed circumstance, WWE doesn’t worry about the timing or the buys of their premium live events.
