Liv Morgan was one of the mainstay features on WWE programming over the past few months and throughout the Wrestlemania 39 season. As one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, she was enjoying quite the competition as a top babyface player alongside another monstrous babyface Raquel Rodriguez. But those good times came to an end when she was taken out of action due to an injury.

The last time we have seen Liv Morgan on WWE television was during the May 12 episode of Smackdown. On that night, she and Raquel Rodriguez went through a title defense against Bayley and Dakota Kai. But Kai delivered a kick that accidentally ruptured Liv’s shoulder. Even Kai herself went through a torn ACL in that match that already required surgery.

A few days after the unfortunate match, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were forced to vacate their titles due to Liv’s injury. WWE never confirmed the severity of the injury but reports did claim that it was a shoulder injury that might require a longer time span to get recovered.

During an UpUpDownDown stream, Liv Morgan has now confirmed her shoulder injury. Keeping her spirits high, she expressed her desire to feature in the competition and possibly defeat Mansoor “with only one shoulder.”

Quick updates after Liv Morgan’s injury claimed that her injury may not be a fatal one but later in a report in Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that the injury was “worse than originally expected” and that she’ll “be out long enough that [WWE] decided to move on and give Rodriguez a new partner.”

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won the tag team championship on the April 10 episode by defeating Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. At the time of the injury, Liv was scheduled to appear in a movie about Mildred Burke. There’s no update on whether the injury will cost her the role.
