WWE merchandise sales remain in an all-time high state signifying that the company’s market is blooming around the United States. This past Friday Night on Smackdown, Roman Reigns and The Bloodline saga helped the show to score 3 million plus viewers on FOX. The same storyline is also responsible for the incredible merch-related achievement of the WWE.

The incredible 3 million viewers’ achievement is something that WWE Smackdown was unable to bring in recent years. But WWE eventually drew the number, thanks to Roman Reigns and The Usos. In an update, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE merchandise sales are at their absolute peak right now.

Apart from the high WWE merchandise sales, veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer also noted that wrestling is at its very best, right now with the competition being at a very high level. Here’s more from what Meltzer had to say,

“Attendance is way, way up. It’s been big on cable… even in the Attitude Era, when it was big on cable, it wasn’t beating the top network shows. It wasn’t even close. But now, I mean, it is.

It’s crazy, and people wanna say that somehow this isn’t hot. It is so hot. It’s the hottest wrestling has been since 2001, that’s 22 years, and people may look back and go, ‘Oh, they were doing three million viewers not that many years ago,’ although TV’s changed.”

It should be noted that LA Knight was nowhere close to becoming a top merch seller before June. But with his growing popularity, WWE released new merch for him and he entered the top 5 list, right away. LA Knight didn’t appear on TV when SmackDown took place at Madison Square Garden, but he did appear in front of the crowd in a dark segment.

Coming back to WWE merchandise sales, Roman Reigns has been retaining the top spot over the past several years and that trend won’t come to an end in the near future. At present, he’s scheduled to headline Summerslam 2023 against Jey Uso.
