Money in the Bank 2023 has one of the top names on the card in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match in the form of Becky Lynch. This will mark the fifth time that the most popular superstar in the female division of the WWE will be participating in this type of ladder match. Being an event in her home country, she’s admittedly hell-bent on winning the match.
On the recent episode of the After the Bell podcast, THE MAN explained why it’s important for her to win the Women’s Money in the Bank 2023 ladder match. She also recalled how there have been four prior occasions where she stood as the final person to grab the briefcase but the final task of unhooking the case always remained unachieved for her.

“My gosh, I wanted that thing. I wanted it. I have wanted it since its inception. I was in the first Money in the Bank, the women’s first Money in the Bank ladder match where [Carmella] won it, stole it from me. I’ve been in four, and every single one, I’ve been the last person holding it before I’ve gotten knocked off,” Becky Lynch continued to talk about Money in the Bank 2023.
“When somebody with a briefcase hits the ring, their music hits, and the place just goes electric because anything can happen. I want that. It eluded me this long, but now, I have gotten myself into a precarious situation.”

Money in the Bank 2023: Odds are against Becky Lynch for a win
Becky Lynch will have to defeat Bayley, IYO SKY, Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus to capture the Women’s Money in the Bank 2023 contract, this Sunday. The precarious position that Lynch was talking about was the fact that except for Vega, the rest of the names will be coming after her in the match due to their history from the past.
In early June, Becky Lynch officially confirmed her place in the Women’s Money in the Bank 2023 ladder match by winning a match on Raw. She defeated Sonya Deville to qualify, despite interference from Chelsea Green, Trish Stratus, and Zoey Stark at the same time. Thus, the multi-time women’s champion has got the chance to tick one of the major accomplishments on her bucket list.
Of course, Becky Lynch has literally done everything in her illustrious WWE career. She is a multi-time Women’s Champion in the WWE and a former Tag Team Champion who also headlined WrestleMania and won a Royal Rumble. We have to wait for this weekend to know if she can win the Money in the Bank 2023 briefcase to fulfill one of her career goals.
