The tag team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross had a successful run as the women’s tag team champions. This witnessed a change in role for Little Miss Bliss from her original position where she used to be a bonafide singles competitor. She is a five-time women’s champion who won both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles within her debut year. With veteran instincts, Bliss tried to fit into the role of a tag team player, as well.
When WWE paired Nikki Cross with Alexa Bliss, we have barely thought of seeing them as tag champs. They were going to be a dysfunctional team that could barely get along. Plus, Alexa Bliss was a heel superstar teaming up with Cross who is a babyface. Fans doubted what could be their success mantra, going forward. But the two of them proved their doubters wrong and moved into doing bigger things.
Alexa Bliss appeared in a recent interview with Fightful.com to talk about this unique experience she is having with Nikki Cross. She admitted to having different in-ring styles as they are still trying to work on improving their chemistry. But she is open to adjustment while enjoying their partnership,
“Um, it’s, it’s quite an adjustment, we are still getting there. You know what I mean, we are still figuring it out, because we both have such different styles. So, you know what I mean, cause you got to have like tag moves and that chemistry, so we are still working on that, because our last two months, we’ve just been costing each other matches by accident. So we are adjusting to it but you know, our tag division is incredible.”
The Five Feet of Fury addressed the speculations that she will never get along well with Nikki Cross. She commented on the issue as well saying that people’s judgment is not always right. They have always doubted her previous partnerships with Mickie James and Nia Jax. But those only helped her to become a fierce competitor, instead. Here’s more from what Alexa Bliss has said,
“I mean, that’s what happens, you know when you develop a friendship with someone. We agree that we weren’t gonna judge each other on each other’s past, her past in NXT, my past with Nia and Mickie, and we understand each other and we see a lot of each other, in each other. And I think, that’s what developed our friendship and the bond.”

Despite what people think, it’s no wonder that Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have become the most relevant women’s tag team champions that WWE ever has. With her veteran instincts, Bliss will continue to make the titles look even more prestigious as the contenders.
