Clash of Champions will be PPV show for September whereas October will witness the return of one of the most popular gimmick-based shows, Hell in a Cell.

WWE wanted to ensure ticket moving to be well for Hell in a Cell PPV and hence started promoting two huge matches on the local basis. Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins and Randy Orton vs. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston are the two current main events set for the show. These are the locally promoted matches that the company has yet to confirm, obviously.
WWE always takes advantage of the “card subject to change” disclaimer in these situations. They often start promoting matches on a local basis to sell out the tickets whereas in reality the lineup witnesses a huge alteration. Also, the storyline perspective affects the match card to a huge extent, to say the least. But it at least indicates which direction the feud may go forward.

In this case, Seth Rollins will renew his rivalry with Drew McIntyre as Hell in a Cell approaches closer. It is a vital indication that Brock Lesnar will drop the title to him once again at Summerslam. This is the same lineup advertised for WWE’s Madison Square Garden return. Over on Smackdown, Randy Orton has pinned Kofi Kingston to receive a title match at Summerslam. So it’s just a matter of time that they go into a stretched feud for weeks to come.
WWE did not even confirm the Hell in a Cell PPV itself as of right now. At present, Summerslam is a confirmed show to take place on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena. Afterward, Clash of Champions will come back after a gap of one year at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 15th.
