Becky Lynch was out on WWE Raw for a second straight week in a row. But she has now lost her Road to Wrestlemania 35 in a process of trying to channelize The Man out of her. Mr. McMahon has now robbed her title opportunity at Wrestlemania and handed it out to none other than Charlotte Flair. So it will now be The Queen facing Ronda Rousey at the biggest event of the year.
Watch Becky invading a WWE live event
On the opening segment of WWE Raw, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H lifted the ban put on her. They wanted an apology in return which Becky Lynch was not willing to give. But throughout the night, she received advises from a number of superstars and changed her decision.
The Man came out on the final segment of WWE Raw to say sorry to both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. But she was not willing to do a handshake with any one of them. Mr. McMahon was not happy with this and extended Lynch’s suspension for 60 more days. This would go beyond Wrestlemania eliminating her from the match against Ronda Rousey.
McMahon introduced Charlotte Flair as the new opponent of Rousey which WWE.com further confirmed with the following statements,
“The Man is out, and The Queen is in. In a shocking turn of events, Mr. McMahon removed Becky Lynch from the WrestleMania Raw Women’s Title Match that she earned on the strength of her Royal Rumble Match victory, and Charlotte Flair has been handpicked to take her place. Tune in to WrestleMania to see whether Charlotte can take the Raw Women’s Title from Rousey when The Showcase of the Immortals streams live Sunday, April 7, at 7 ET/4 PT on the award-winning WWE Network!”
The road to Wrestlemania 35 for Becky Lynch started in a big note on January 27th. She won the Royal Rumble match from the women’s division to earn a championship match. She chose Ronda Rousey right away the next night on WWE Raw. It was a much-anticipated match for the fans as they wanted to see this dream match for a long time.
Last week, Stephanie McMahon invited Becky Lynch on WWE Raw to have some face to face words. But the confrontation turned out to be a physical encounter, the moment McMahon declared to suspend her. She was declining to receive medical attention putting the upcoming Wrestlemania match in jeopardy.
It turned out to be a great angle as Becky Lynch showed up on Smackdown, the very next night despite the suspension. She defied the authority once again by slapping Triple H into the face. McMahons did not like it for sure and hence they called her on WWE Raw for two straight weeks. Well, she continues to be a bigger attraction on the flagship show via this ongoing Wrestlemania storyline.
