WWE News: CM Punk Dismisses Rumors Of Future WWE Return 1

CM Punk has been one of the most adored WWE Superstars of this decade. Ever since he left the company in 2014, WWE fans have been chanting his name for a comeback but it seems unlikely the former WWE champion will return.

Since, next year, Royal Rumble is going to be celebrated in a big way for its 30th anniversary, fans have been speculating numerous names who could make a return at the event. CM Punk is amongst them. The rumor mill has suggested he might return at the event set to take place in San Antonio, Texas.

Recently, a fan, who was overwhelmed with this rumor took his Twitter handle to ask CM Punk about the legitimacy of the news. Punk gave a sarcastic answer by actually saying yes but it suggested there’s no way he is going to return to WWE in near future.

Some of the fans took the answer straight thinking that the news is true but it actually indicates that there’s no sign of the waters to go under the bridge.

The longest reigning WWE champion of the modern era decided to quit WWE the night after Royal Rumble 2014 after numerous miscommunication with the company. He was not happy at all with his position. Furthermore, a lawsuit was filed against him which is still in progress.

Punk is under a UFC contract right now. Although, he had a disastrous debut to his MMA career, he’s looking forward to more fights inside the Octagon rather than getting back to the WWE.
