Vince McMahon has been involved in an angle with AJ Styles for the past few weeks. For some unknown reasons, he is willing to bring out the real AJ out of the former WWE Champion. His plans were apparently successful that has made him the current number one for the prime title present on Smackdown held by Daniel Bryan.
This led to set up one of the main events of Royal Rumble from Smackdown Live. AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan will take place in a rematch at the upcoming PPV event. There’s no doubt that this is a dream lineup for any of the WWE Universe members. These two can put up the greatest match on any given night being the two most technical wrestlers.
The only thing that might have made things stale is the fact that the feud is going on for quite sometimes. These two are gunning each other throughout the last quarter of 2018. So some of the fans may want to see something fresh. This is why WWE added Vince McMahon on last night’s Smackdown as a moderator. He could have added a new dimension into the context.
However, there was not much in-store for The Boss as he arrived to moderate the segment between two competitors of Royal Rumble title match. He introduced AJ Styles on Smackdown first and the Daniel Bryan to start the conversation. Daniel Bryan denied entering the ring mentioning that his opponent is a sociopath. He pointed out he is making the title relevant while AJ used this for his own sake.
Bryan mentioned AJ as this planet’s champion whom the people worships for nothing. The Phenomenal One has heard enough of this and called Bryan, ‘fickle’. The crowd started chanting ‘fickle’ towards Daniel Bryan. The verbal exchange went on for sometimes as Vince McMahon got tired of this. He ordered the WWE Champion to enter the ring. But he mentioned McMahon and all the people as parasites and did not intend to do it.
Vince McMahon ordered once more but Bryan stood outside the ring. AJ Styles had enough of that and went to the outside ensuring chaos on Smackdown. The two hammered away each other before Daniel Bryan entered the ring and used Vince McMahon as the shield. AJ Styles was going for the Phenomenal Forearm who stopped for a moment and digested a Running Knee instead. Bryan walked away from Smackdown with a smile in his face and momentums for Royal Rumble.
