One of the headliners of last night’s WWE Raw featured a steel cage match. This one was made official on last week just to hype up the show. Vince McMahon himself announced this matchup since this kind of a gimmick match always remains a special attraction for the WWE Universe. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler have been continuing their feud from last month onwards.
So we have already witnessed a couple of matches between them. So adding the steel cage match stipulation made the contest a must-see for the fans. It is interesting to mention that Drew McIntyre has lost momentums for the last few weeks. Dolph Ziggler and Finn Balor have picked up some back to back win against him to hint that the push towards him might have come to an end.
But that is not the case as he is a protected guy on WWE Raw roster. Big things are waiting for him in 2019 is this steel cage match was any indication. He literally destroyed the show-off using the steel structure as the weapon. Later, the no-disqualification rules also came into play where Drew McIntyre could do anything to his former mentor. He took the fullest advantage of the situation and ensured that Dolph Ziggler can’t show up in weeks to follow.
The steel cage lowered down to kick things off on WWE Raw. Dolph Ziggler entered the ring first followed by his nemesis to start off the match. The Detroit crowd was firmly backing up Ziggler from the beginning of the match. He almost had the win by connecting with a Fammesser followed by a Zig-Zag. But McIntyre came back with a Claymore to take control. A second Claymore followed to pick up the win after which McIntyre cut a heel promo about Royal Rumble.
Dolph Ziggler begged for more even after the match was over on WWE Raw. This was not taken lightly by the Scottish Psychopath. He re-entered the ring with a chair in hand and put it like a neck brace on his opponent’s neck. A Claymore followed to keep Ziggler down for good. But Drew McIntyre did not stop there. A fourth Claymore was waiting for the victim until the officials ran down to stop the assault.
