MITB

Last night, we were confirmed to receive not one but two MITB ladder matches, this year. Last year, the tradition of hosting two Money in the Bank ladder matches got introduced for the very first time. The first match was contested for the male roster of the WWE. The second matchup was declared, as the inaugural contest for the female roster.

Ever since the PPV got confirmed for June, we wondered whether the tradition would get retained or not. The venue of the PPV event already approved it, previously, whereas, last night, the GM of WWE Raw also addressed it. As per Kurt Angle, there will be two MITB matches on this year’s edition, too.

The men’s division match will take place comprising both Raw and Smackdown roster. The same will happen in the female division, too. On the flagship show, we have seen a solid triple threat contest amongst three elite contestants. Sasha Banks, Ruby Riott, and Ember Moon were handed the opportunity.

For the most part of the match, it looked like Sasha will prevail being the veteran one. She was in control until the Riott Squad started interfering. Bayley ran out to make the save. But, it did not help The Boss, either. Instead, the distraction allowed Ember Mon to capitalise.0

The former NXT women’s champion got enough space to hit the Eclipse on both of her opponents, at the same time. It was a spectacular move that was re-watched by the fans and commentators. With this, Moon did not only just steal the show but also entered the Women’s MITB ladder match as the first female superstar.

WWE.com hyped-up her entry into the contest with the following statements,

“Ember Moon was the first to qualify for the explosive showdown by defeating Sasha Banks and Ruby Riott in a Triple Threat Match on Raw. With ladders scattered around the ring, who will conquer the opposition, climb the dangerous rungs, grab the Money in the Bank briefcase and capture the coveted contract to earn an opportunity to challenge a World Champion any time they wish in the next year?”

We have to wait until June 17th to learn whether Moon succeeds to win the second-ever MITB ladder match for the female superstars. But, there’s no denying she would bring more pace into the match.

Perhaps, no other female superstar is as much athletic like this woman, on the WWE Raw roster. She is definitely going to display it at the upcoming PPV event.
