WWE is going through the post-Wrestlemania phase as of right now. This is one of the stages where the programming gets through a major problem since the biggest event of the year is over. The marquee superstars take hiatus from the programming suddenly leaving a void. This reflects on the TV ratings of both WWE Raw and Smackdown which go to downwards direction.
Dean Ambrose returns as Jon Moxley
Legends confirmed to appear in Saudi Arabia
Once Wrestlemania 35 has passed by the decline in ratings have already started for both the weekly television programs i.e. WWE Raw and Smackdown. Despite the Superstar Shakeup process, the surprises in it and the fallouts of the entire thing were not enough to give a major boost to the ratings. So the sources reported WWE TV hitting another low in recent times following the ‘show of shows’.
Will Goldberg wrestle in Saudi Arabia?
The April 22nd and 23rd episodes of WWE Raw and Smackdown Live recorded a viewership of 2.37 million and 2.07 million, consecutively. The WWE officials are quite afraid the figures could hit even lower as we move forward to Money in the Bank PPV. So they are thinking of a major backup plan to gain interest among the audience. They are probably bringing back some old school veterans.

According to Slice Wrestling, WWE might be bringing back some of the legends on the programming to pull up the viewership on both WWE Raw and Smackdown. They are quite aware of the fact that the figures have already hit record lowest back in the fall of 2018. They don’t want the repetition of the same. Hence, bringing back some of the legends could garner interests in the old school fans to tune into the programs and increase the viewership.
The source did not reveal which names we can expect in the upcoming weeks. The Undertaker comes first in this list since he will feature in the Saudi Arabia PPV in June. His appearances seem mandatory to provide buildup for the particular match on either WWE Raw or Smackdown. Also, another old school veteran Kane recently talked about a potential reunion of Brothers of Destruction as fallout from Crown Jewel on WWE’s Youtube Channel,
“There’s a saying in WWE to never say never. Again, I love to perform. That last match as the Brothers Of Destruction against D-Generation X, two legendary teams. Two mythical teams. It didn’t turn out the way that The Undertaker and I wanted it to turn out. So never say never, maybe I’ll get back out there at some point.”
