WWE News: Possible Reason Behind Kevin Owens Attacking Vince McMahon 1

It was quite shocking to witness what transpired between Kevin Owens and Vince McMahon in the final segment of this past edition of Smackdown Live. After announcing the mouth-watering Hell in a Cell match between Shane McMahon and Owens, the latter one asked him whether he can put his hands on a McMahon.

It was unfortunate for The Boss that the prizefighter targeted him instead of his son. He beat the hell out of the chairman of the company. Starting from the headbutt that left him busted open, he followed it up with a series of punches, kicks and a frog splash from the top rope.

The WWE Universe was concerned about the status of Vince McMahon after the attack. He is now 72-year-old and might not be able to digest such a brutal attack from a regular performer like Kevin Owens. WWE.com provided an update on Vince’s condition, later, which suggested,

“WWE Chairman and CEO Mr McMahon were on the receiving end of a brutal attack at the hands of Kevin Owens during the shocking conclusion of Sin City SmackDown.
WWE.com has learned that, following the attack, Mr McMahon did not give comment and refused to be looked at by medical staff.”

Apparently, there’s a big reason as of why the Boss has allowed Kevin Owens to put his hands on him. According to Scott Fishman of Miami Heralds and TV Insider, Mr McMahon is quite high on the bonafide heel Owens’ character and went ahead to plan the altercation, accordingly.

There are quite a few guys in the history of the company who put their hands on their Boss. Names like Stone Cold, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan are the few of them who went on to become wrestling legends. So, KO has already joined the elite club comprising them. It indicates that how much the chairman values Owens as a superstar.

Being a professional veteran wrestler, KO too pulled off the stunts on Smackdown Live, quite safely. From this point onwards, we can definitely expect him to go on to the main event picture, again, very soon.
