WWE News: Roman Reigns Is Scheduled For A Big Match At Wrestlemania
This was the first time that a supposed franchise of the company i.e. Roman Reigns was crowned the most hated wrestler of the year 2016. This happened in a recent poll conducted by the PWI magazine. This is just a part of the fan backlash that the Big Dog of the WWE usually receives during his each outing in the ring.
However, this does not stop Vince McMahon from giving him numerous pushes. He is still determined to give the Big Dog of the WWE a marquee match at Orlando, Florida. Fans might not like him to see in yet another main event but Boss wants to make it happen at any cost.
As per reports from Inquistr.com, the chairman of the company is leaving no stones unturned to give Reigns a huge match at this year’s Wrestlemania. He actually wants to pull off a surprise match for him which will be out of the book for the fans. This is why he might not win the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble PPV.
Vince is still trying to book him the best possible way so that the crowd does not give him the usual negative reaction. This certainly increases the chances of getting the Reigns vs. Undertaker match at Mania. Going against the best performer ever might give a huge boost to Reigns’ career.
The boss previously wanted to pit him against Braun Strowman. He thought that a win against the monstrous man would portray Reigns as the top babyface. However, in the creative’s books, the big man has not done anything special in his WWE career and hence not considered as an established competitor. So, the idea might be scrapped.
Another option is being nurtured by the creative so that they can bring Conor McGregor to have one off match against Reigns. Since the notorious one is a natural heel to the WWE fans, this might save Reigns from getting booed. However, this only can happen if UFC president would allow Conor to be involved in physical capacity at Wrestlemania.
