As reported earlier, Batista was originally scheduled to show up on this week’s episode of WWE Raw. But he removed himself from the appearance at the last moment. Probably it was a conscious decision taken by the WWE creative team to give more focus on the Fastlane pay-per-view. Bringing these two under the same roof would have given more focus to this potential Wrestlemania match.

So it will now take place on the next week’s episode of WWE Raw. With Fastlane getting concluded, we will officially be getting the storylines for this year’s Wrestlemania. So it is likely that these two will confirm the big match that is built on years of rivalry. For now, Batista has the upper hand after that sudden attack on Ric Flair from last week’s episode of WWE Raw.
He left a message for Triple H as well as the WWE Universe for not showing up on WWE Raw. The former six-time world champion is willing to play the game on his own terms until ‘The Game is over’. This statement itself indicates that he is likely to challenge the WWE COO for a match. Even Triple H cut an emotional promo hinting that Batista has his attention, now. All he’ll have to do is show up like a man and face him. Well, this is eventually happening next week that should drop some big news around Wrestlemania.
The return of Batista on WWE TV seemed evident after recent speculations broke out. They suggested that the former world champion signed a new deal with the WWE to take him through Wrestlemania 35. He wanted to have a stint in the WWE for one last time. After a long wait, the WWE creative team might have come up with suitable a storyline for him. But we could not imagine seeing him coming back with such a huge impact.
As seen on last week’s WWE Raw, Batista decided to take out Ric Flair on his 70th birthday celebration. We were about to see a grand bash on the show from his hometown of Atlanta only to see The Animal interfering to it. He was actually targeting Triple H who claims Flair to be his mentor. This was the beginning of the Wrestlemania storyline between these two superstars.
Earlier in 2018, we have had an Evolution reunion on Smackdown Live. On that night, Batista came back to take a shot at Triple H declaring that The Game has never beaten him in a one-on-one competition. This is the most significant reason that the feud has picked up and might culminate a Wrestlemania match between these two. Until then, we will see these growing more bad blood on WWE Raw.
