Conor McGregor created history at the UFC 205 PPV last Sunday. The event was held at the famous Madison Square Garden and McGregor became the first one to hold dual UFC championship in the history of the company. He is now being considered as the most dominated athlete in the Sports Combat industry. So, it is quite understandable that WWE is willing to sign him as a big attraction prior to the Wrestlemania season.
The rumor of Conor joining the WWE is in the round on the rumor mill. The COO and the Vice President of Talent Relationship Triple H confirmed it by giving a positive reaction to it. He was being interviewed by the Telegraph and asked about WWE signing McGregor in future.
“He could come over, he’s got it all, man – he’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure. “What does he walk around at? 180lbs? I have smaller guys now in the WWE. We have 200lb guys who are stars. You don’t need to be 300lbs anymore,” Triple H said.
WWE always want some mainstream star to feature at Wrestlemania to make it a bigger attraction. So Triple H mentioned Floyd Mayweather going against Big Show at Wrestlemania 24. The fight became a huge hit and the Game hinted that signing McGregor can repeat the same.
“Yeah, he could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show. That really worked. Conor could do it for sure.”

The rumors of WWE contacting Conor for a future contract got viral after Triple H attended the UFC 205 event in person. Further, when the fight was over, Conor said he would try something new in the future which certainly was an indication. However, on social media, he said, “f**k Wrestlemania” when a fan asked him with his WWE debut. He earned quite a famous “notorious one” reputation among the WWE fans by taking a dig at WWE for numerous occasions.
