WWE Universe wanted to see the dream match between The Undertaker and John Cena, for years.
After waiting for almost two decades, we might get it, finally on this year’s edition of Wrestlemania. It is still to be confirmed, but the storyline angle is approaching the same way. Recently, we have learned some updates on when the match could be made official.
The process of bringing back The Undertaker to WWE programming began when John Cena mentioned that Wrestlemania could ”bring a legend back from the dead”.
It happened on the February 13th episode of the show where we first realised the inevitable match is in the creative pipeline. But, Cena quickly informed us that the match is not possible.
Thereafter, he tried to pave his Road to Wrestlemania by competing at the Elimination Chamber PPV event but failed. The same happened at the Smackdown-exclusive PPV, Fastlane, too. After this, the franchise player of the WWE has no other choice but to rely on the one and only Undertaker to resurface to get a match at Wrestlemania.
On the last edition of WWE Raw, John Cena wanted the answer from the Deadman. He delivered some nasty comments to him to fire him up but failed. Instead, Kane appeared to plant the loud-mouth Cena with a chokeslam. It booked these two in the main event of the next edition of the flagship program of the WWE.
The rumours were that we might see The Undertaker coming out during or after this match to answer the challenge. But, according to the reports from cagesideseats.com, we will not see him, next week.
Rather, this dream match will not be confirmed until we arrive at the go-home edition of WWE Raw for Wrestlemania 34.
As per the source, the match will only be confirmed when the final hypes of the biggest event will be made. This final edition of WWE Raw before the PPV will be hosted on April 2nd at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia where we will finally learn about the same.
Furthermore, The Undertaker might decide to show up on the show, as well on that night.
As for now, the creative team wants to keep us in the midst of confusion regarding this match. It is why The Phenome is nowhere to be found in the original Wrestlemania 34 Blu-ray poster. But, the legend will be added to it at the very last moment.
