WWE News: Updates Regarding Kurt Angle’s Return To WWE 1

As per the previous reports, Kurt Angle was about to make a spectacular return to WWE in the Royal Rumble match. This was supposed to be one-off appearance inside the ring. But WWE’s approach towards the former champion has probably changed drastically.

His return is on the hold ever since the WWE Draft and now Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that we have to wait until the month of April to see his much-anticipated comeback to the company. According to the source, the WWE is arranging his surprise comeback once the Wrestlemania season is over.

It is much more logical since he will have to appear at the Hall of Fame ceremony on the same time. This year the event will be hosted from Orlando, Florida on the March 31. So, he might return to WWE TV on the episode of Raw post-Wrestlemania where the crowd remains electric every year.

As of now, he is scheduled for two big matches in the independent circuit which will witness two former WWE superstars against him. Alberto Del Rio and Cody Rhodes are two of the biggest names on the independent circuit and will be pitted against him. After that, he has to wrap all the outside commitments since the WWE does not allow any superstar under their contract to appear in any of the indie wrestling shows.

Ever since Kurt Angle left the TNA franchise, the speculations are rife with his return to the WWE. In recent times, a string of TNA stars signed with the WWE and AJ Styles is the biggest example of them. The source further cleared the speculation by commenting:

“Angle was always a Vince McMahon call, as ever since he left TNA early this past year, he’s made it clear he wants to go back and things, like being the new character in the video game and going into the Hall of Fame, make sense as there is a very short list for the former and a fairly short list of guys who can be in the top two or three spots for the latter and he checks both off.”
