WWE News: Vince McMahon Congratulates Batista On 15th Anniversary Of His WWE Career
May 10, 2017 at 1:15 PM
Recently, Batista spoke up in between the media sessions that he was willing to return for one more match in the WWE but they never allowed him to do so. This forced him to go into a bitter relationship with the management. He also did not intend to return to the company.
After The Animal went on a rant a few days ago, an interesting thing happened, last night. It was none other than Vince McMahon who might have stolen the spotlight with the post on the social media.
May 9th marked the 15 year anniversary of Batista’s WWE debut and the Boss himself took his twitter handle to congratulate Batista on this occasion. This was the sarcastic way possible to give it back to the former WWE champion.
Batista is not the one to back down from countering back and hence replied back to the tweet of Vince McMahon, as well.
15 years ago today, @WWE unleashed The Animal @DaveBautista on the WWE Universe. Happy anniversary, “Drax.”

On the above-mentioned date, Dave Bautista Jr. debuted in the WWE with the name Deacon Batista. With a unique physique, it did not take him long to earn the attention from the crowd. The very next year, he joined the infamous faction, Evolution to rise to the fame.
He never had to step back since then, as he remained in the main event spotlight till 2010 when he left the company. He debuted in the MMA fights in 2012. Later, he returned to the WWE in 2014 which turned out to be an utter disaster.
“ I’ve asked, yeah, I’ve asked. Well, there’s… I’ve asked for what I want. I’ll tell you and I’ve talked to Hunter about it and I’ve talked to Vince about it. I said I would come back and run a whole program with Hunter. That’s the only thing I’m interested in doing. They’re just not interested in it, you know?”
Batista also expressed that he is not willing to face anybody else from the WWE roster since it would be his retirement storyline angle. So, when he was asked about working for one more stretchable stint, he replied,
“At this point, no, because it would be my retirement thing. It would be what I would go out on. I would come back and I’d do a whole program and then I’d be done.”
