WWE News: Vince McMahon was Reportedly Furious with Shinsuke Nakamura 1

We have previously reported that there might be a backstage heat going on against Shinsuke Nakamura ever since the dream match against John Cena took place.

It was supposed to be a match where the Cenation Leader will put over a talent like Nakamura to be the next face of the company. It is the reason that he suffered a clean pinfall loss again the former NXT Champion.

However, Nakamura’s winning moment got ruined by a botching move that witnessed him throwing his opponent on his head that could have damaged his neck. As seen in the below give gif, it is clearly seen that following the inverted suplex, the 16-time world champion landed hard on the apron in such a nasty way. As per JBL’s commentary, “human body is not supposed to be bent that way.”

Quite expectedly, a report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated stated that Vince McMahon was quite furious with this incident. WWE is already dealing with multiple lawsuits from superstars that dealt with concussions. So, when it comes to injuries, the company is very much strict in this PG Era.

Especially, when it comes to the neck injuries, nothing is serious than this one. Careers like Daniel Bryan, Edge, Stone Cold have cut short due to this, and the company does not want this sensitive issue to get raised, again. The way Cena was thrown on his neck could have broken it permanently leading to career-ending moment for him.
So, The Boss was quite expectedly upset seeing a veteran player like Shinsuke Nakamura has done this kind of botch that was the least expected from him.

Considering that the franchise player of the company was against him, the situation got worse for him.

Thankfully, being the superhuman that John Cena is, he came out of the situation without suffering any injury and was ready to compete at Summerslam. He faced Baron Corbin after the altercations happened and successfully picked up the win.

But, if this heat keeps continuing for Nakamura, then there’s no way that he is going to capture the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell. He was also kept off from the tapings of Smackdown show, for a couple of weeks. Hopefully, the issue should not continue for a longer span of time and gets over before the upcoming WWE title match.
