WWE and Impact Wrestling does not possess a sour relationship anymore. These two were the bitter rivals ever since TNA Wrestling promotion (Impact’s mother brand) came to light. Jeff Jarrett was the founder of this brand vowing to give WWE tough competition. It turned out to be the WCW’s reincarnated version at the beginning of last decade.

Most of the superstars from WCW who did not come to the WWE after the merger joined TNA. At one point, there was some serious bad blood between these two companies. They used to blast each other whenever getting chances. But over the years, the norm has changed. The wrestling market is wide open where partnerships are most welcome.

Well, something like this could happen between WWE and Impact Wrestling. As per the reliable source, PWInsider.com, the head honchos of the two companies had a meeting earlier this week. Impact Wrestling executives, Ed Nordholm and Scott D’Amore and members of Triple H‘s team were present in this discussion.

They have talked about the general wrestling business condition of current times, as per the source. Some of you might get excited thinking about WWE possibly looking forward to buying Impact Wrestling promotion. But no digital content or video library is up for sale at this time. So a possible merger is not possible between these two brands,

“One Impact source specifically stressed that the meetings were not regarding the sale of either Impact Wrestling as a company, or it’s video library, stating neither are for sale.”

The source emphasized the fact it was just a general meeting between the head honchos of the two brands other than any particular sit down for negotiation. Here are further updates from the source,

“One WWE source described the meeting as a general discussion about the two companies and as a chance to get everyone in the same room as opposed to a specific negotiation.”

This meeting might have not taken place for buying negotiations but it created huge buzz among the wrestling fans. WWE and Impact Wrestling are the number one and two brands in the USA for wrestling. So the exciting fans are expecting something huge from them in future.

The recent release of former Impact Wrestling talents, Mahabali Shera might have to do something with this meeting. Impact stars, Pentagon Jr. And Fenix are one steel ahead to come to the WWE. So the meeting might have come up with an option for a talent exchange program between the two brands.
