Kurt Angle made a much-anticipated return to WWE back in 2017. This company was his home where he earned fame as a veteran athlete. Sure he was an Olympic Gold Medalist even before that but Vince McMahon was the brain behind making him a super athlete. He went on to establish himself as perhaps the best technical wrestler ever.

Revealed: Daniel Bryan’s WWE title match at Wrestlemania 35
So we always wished to see Kurt Angle finishing his career in the WWE. If the recent reports are any indications then he is quickly moving forward to that moment. With Wrestlemania 35 inching closer, there can’t be a better stage for him to retire in a grand way. Also, his body condition is not likely to allow him to continue wrestling, anymore.
Brad Shepard revealed on the Oh You Didn’t Know Wrestling Show that Kurt Angle is in terrible wrestling shape, right now. He can barely watch which is hard to watch from a backstage perspective. So there’s no way that WWE creative will consider him for wrestling in long-term planning.
The source even compared his condition with Mick Foley saying,
“Now Kurt Angle can barely move. I’m told that he moves like Mick Foley backstage Standing still he looks pretty good, we can see that in the ring but, when you watch him, I’ve been told, getting in and out of his car, It’s “unfortunate”. So Kurt Angle is not in good physical shape at all and he is on his way out of the company.”
Shepard added that Wrestlemania 35 should mark the end of his wrestling career for good. At least, he can’t consider continuing wrestling within WWE considering the high-class athletes they have in their roster. Giving away chances to a half-fit athlete does not make much sense. So as much as it sounds bad, Kurt Angle would have his final match on April 7th,
“Kurt Angle is definitely on his way out. WrestleMania 35 may, in fact, be his last Mania.”
Kurt Angle has indeed become a shadow of his past wrestling days, as of now. The athlete who won an Olympic Medal with a broken ‘freaking’ neck does not exist anymore. Growing age has indeed made its presence felt on his body. It’s better for him to enjoy his Hall of Famer life and stay away from competition.

No wonder why WWE is putting over new guys like Drew McIntyre or Baron Corbin using him. These two already defeated Kurt Angle in singles contests. They have not only beat him but also humiliated him following their victories. These should have some connections with the final match at Wrestlemania 35 where he hangs up his boots.
