This week’s WWE NXT continued the builds for the Vengeance Day specials that takes place within just two weeks. Imperium was in action against NXT resident faction, the Diamond Mine while NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa teamed up in the main event.
Women’s Champion Mandy Rose was also forced to hand a title shot to her current rival. Check out the results from the show that went down from the WWE Performance Center in Tampa, Florida.
– Imperium (Gunther and NXT Tag Team Champions Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner) defeated Diamond Mine (Roderick Strong and The Creed Brothers in the opening contest of WWE NXT in six-man tag team match. Gunther dropped Brutus with a huge forearm to the chest. And followed up with a powerbomb for the win.

– Toxic Attraction faction announced that they will put their WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta at NXT Vengeance Day on February 15.
Kay Lee Ray came out as she wanted to get a shot at Mandy Rose’s NXT Women’s Title. Mandy declined the challenge but KLR promised that she will have her title match by the end of the night.
WWE NXT 2.0 Results (01/02/22): Raquel Gonzalez vs. Cora Jade
– Raquel Gonzalez defeated Cora Jade in a singles contest. Raquel blocked a jumping knee and then drove her opponent into the middle of the ring with the Chingona Bomb for the win. After the match, Raquel agreed to team up with Cora in the WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
– Sarray defeated Kayla Inlay in her in-ring return. After a running Sunray Dropkick to the face, Sarray dumped Kayla on her head with a suplex for the win.
Wrestlemania 38: Another WWE PPV And Hall Of Fame Planned For The Weekend?
– WWE NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Cameron Grimes came face-to-face before their scheduled Title Match at Vengeance Day to exchange promos.
– Joe Gacy defeated LA Knight after Grayson Waller came out and distracted LA, causing the loss. Waller appeared and nailed a big Stunner to LA while the referee wasn’t watching. Gacy delivered a handspring clothesline finisher to secure the win. After the match, Grayson introduced his bodyguard Sanga and forced him to attack LA. Grayson told LA that if he can beat Sanga next week, he may pull the restraining order against LA.
– Wendy Choo def. Amari Miller via distraction by Tiffany Statton who came out and tried to cause a distraction by throwing a credit card in the ring. Wendy clotheslines her way for the win and took the credit card.
– A vignette was shown for Nikkita Lyons who will be arriving on WWE NXT. She cut a promo to send a warning to the women’s division of NXT 2.0.
– Andre Chase defeated Draco Anthony by planting Draco face-first into the mat in a short matchup.
– Kay Lee Ray kidnapped Toxic Attraction as they were leaving. She continued chasing Mandy Rose and dumped a cake and a platter of spaghetti on her in the kitchen area.
– WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Legado Del Fantasma’s Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde in a tag team match. Ciampa sent Wilde through a table outside the ring while Bron followed up with a powerslam to Mendoza in the ring to get the pinfall win.
– Mandy Rose finally agreed to face Kay Lee Ray for NXT Women’s Title, next week. KLR ended the show by planting Mandy with a KLR bomb.
