This week’s WWE NXT continued the builds for War Games scheduled for next month. NXT and NXT Women’s Champions were in action in non-title matches while the main event featured the NXT North American Champion defending his belt in a Triple Threat action. Here are the results from the November 23 edition from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida,

– WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa defeated Grayson Waller in the opening match by hitting the Fairy Tale Ending move.

WWE NXT 2.0 Results (23/11/21): Title Match; Champions In Action 1

– Cameron Grimes debuted a new look with short hair. Grimes said he reminded how Duke Hudson cut his hair, last week. Grimes then proposed a “Hair vs. Hair” Match for WWE NXT War Games. Duke accepted the challenge.

– Indi Hartwell informed that her husband Dexter Lumis has a fractured hand and hence will be out of action for a month.

– Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter defeated Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta in a tag team action. Indi didn’t notice that Kacy tagged in as she was focused on Kayden. Kacy and Kayden hit a big double-team move on Indi from the corner and cover for the pin to win.

– Santos Escobar defeated Malik Blade in a singles contest on WWE NXT 2.0. With Legado del Fantasma in his corner, Escobar hit the Phantom Driver on Blade for the victory.

– Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner vs. Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza, was announced and the winners of this match will face Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT TakeOver: War Games. NXT Women’s War Games Match was also announced as Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai will team up against Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, Cora Jade, and Kay Lee Ray.

– Cora Jade defeated WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose after Kay Lee Ray caused a distraction. Ray was at ringside who swung a baseball bat as Rose went for an aerial move. Jade took advantage and rolled up Rose for the win.

– Joe Gacy wanted a shot against Roderick Strong and his NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Strong responded saying that his next match will be with Gacy, and Malcolm Bivens will make sure that the match contract will be signed, sealed, and delivered for WWE NXT TakeOver: War Games.

– Ivy Nile of The Diamond Mine defeated Yulisa Leon with a Dragon Sleeper submission move.

– Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen defeated Grizzled Young Veterans in a tag team match. Briggs and Jensen hit a double Team Hi-Lo to Drake for the pin to win.

WWE NXT 2.0 Results (23/11/21): Title Match; Champions In Action 4

– Kay Lee Ray vs. Dakota Kai has been announced for next week with the War Games Advantage Ladder Match stipulation.

– Carmelo Hayes (c) defeated Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne in a Triple Threat Match with some help from Tony D’Angelo to retain WWE NXT North American Championship. Dunner hit the Bitter End on Gargano but Tony D’Angelo pulled Dunne to the floor. Hayes hit a flying leg drop from the corner on Gargano for the pin to win.

After the match, several WWE NXT wrestlers started fighting all around the ring. Bron Brekker called out for War Games as the lineup appeared to be Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, and LA Knight vs. Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo, and Grayson Waller in the Men’s War Games Match.
