AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker is considered to be one of the best innovations of the year 2021. Coming with lesser experience in AEW, she made it to the top and it’s safe to say that she’s become the face of the female division of the company. Prior to her AEW stint, she was also a part of WWE NXT for a brief occasion.
Her boyfriend Adam Cole was with the WWE’s third brand for a long time before moving to AEW. So, Britt Baker was in attendance for the 2019 NXT TakeOver: WarGames to watch her boyfriend Cole in action where Team Ciampa vs. Undisputed Era collided inside the WarGames structure.

During that appearance, Britt Baker became an internet sensation among the WWE Universe after WWE production showed her shocking reaction when Tommaso Ciampa dropped Cole from the top of the WarGames cage through a table. She was also acknowledged as Cole’s girlfriend by Mauro Ranallo on the commentary desk but then WWE did something unexpected.

According to several reports from the past, the replay of the 2019 WarGames match on Peacock//WWE Network no longer includes the close-up shot of Britt Baker but they instead show a long shot of the chaos inside the ring following that huge bump. A fan on social media pointed out the same, tagging the AEW Superstar in concern, to his post.
Britt Baker then reacted to the mention via her Instagram story. As seen in the screengrab, she proceeded to take took a jab at WWE with her response, “That’s okay. They took me out, I took their BAY BAY.” Via this comment, the AEW women’s champ was indicating at Adam Cole jumping ship to AEW after his NXT contract was over.
During that WarGames match in November of 2019, Britt Baker was already one of the mainstays of the AEW roster, who just visited the WarGames event to watch Cole in action. She was also caught on camera sitting next to WWE CBO Stephanie McMahon at an NXT Takeover: XXV event in June 2019. Baker had a tryout session for WWE NXT, the year prior but the company never signed her to a contract.
