The ongoing storyline featuring Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin was supposed to elevate Jayne to the next level as a heel superstar on WWE NXT. However, WWE’s plotting to put over Jayne by using her former Toxic Attraction buddy didn’t go quite as planned. An injury has come into play and it will take time before the rivalry could be renewed.
After a shocking betrayal by her Toxic Attraction stablemate, Jayne was determined to permanently end her friendship with Dolin as the two met one-on-one during the 2023 edition of WWE NXT Roadblock. Unfortunately for Jayne, she ended up losing that match. Plus, she also ended up picking up an injury coming out of it that will now put her on the shelf for some time.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez gave an update on Jacy Jayne’s current situation in WWE NXT. It was noted that she was going home, legit for a while since it’s an injury situation.
“I think what they did was have the match, and they knew she was hurt and that’s why it was rushed. Because they got that match out of the way, and now she’s going home for a while. I’ve heard that she’s injured and will be out.”

Jacy Jayne has WWE NXT return in mind to seek revenge on Gigi Dolin
The injury situation was first disclosed on the March 14 episode of WWE NXT as Jayne appeared in a backstage interview in an arm sling. It was revealed that she had suffered a separated shoulder about a minute into her match with Dolin during Roadblock. Jayne also claimed that she was even unable to properly lift her arm, which provided Dolin with the upper hand and then led to the ultimate victory.
Dolin went on to pin Jayne with the Cobra Twist Slam and Jayne is obviously fuming with the outcome. According to her comments, her former tag team partner was “pathetic” if she considered herself to be triumphant, coming out of this feud. At this point, she remains focused to reclaim the spotlight upon her return to WWE NXT, whenever that happened.
There’s no exact timeline was given for Jayne’s recovery and the potential return. In her absence, Dolin had the opportunity to go back to the title picture as she defeated Kiana James in a qualifying match to cement her spot at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver.
