The first match for the 2021 WWE NXT Great American Bash special has been announced on last night’s episode of NXT. As per, NXT General Manager William Regal, Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole will go down at the upcoming NXT PPV event.
Regal made the announcement as he and the returning enforcer Samoa Joe broke got involved in a backstage brawl between Cole and O’Reilly. Regal then put stipulations saying that Cole vs. O’Reilly II will be a “straight-up wrestling match” between the two competitors.
O’Reilly previously defeated Cole in an Unsanctioned Match at “Takeover: Stand and Deliver” during WrestleMania 37 Week Night One. WWE NXT Great American Bash will air live from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, July 6.
A loaded lineup has been announced for next Tuesday’s WWE NXT episode. NXT General Manager William Regal has announced Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole II for the Great American Bash event after which it was noted that Cole and O’Reilly will get to pick their opponents for next week’s episode.

O’Reilly will be wrestling NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida. This week, Kushida retained his title over a debuting Trey Baxter after which O’Reilly entered the ring to challenge Kushida to a match on next week’s show. Kushida accepted to make the non-title bout, official. Cole will also be in action next Tuesday night but there’s no word on his opponent, as of this writing.
Hit Row Records vs. Ever-Rise for the next WWE NXT episode has been announced. “Top Dolla” AJ Francis and Ashante “Thee” Adonis are likely to represent Hit Row against Matt Martel and Chase Parker of Ever-Rise with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott getting involved in the capacity.
Franky Monet will also return to action, next Tuesday. She has announced that next week will feature an encore of her World Premiere that is her in-ring debut. Monet made her in-ring debut back on May 25 episode via a win over Cora Jade. She has not wrestled since then. The Diamond Mine will also premiere on next week’s show but WWE hasn’t provided any details about the same.
