Roxanne Perez has now made history by becoming the second youngest WWE NXT Women’s Champion. Prior to this, she was the first-ever Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion. Last night, she added another feather to the hat by beating the top female superstar of the NXT roster Mandy Rose.
It happened in the main event match of this week’s WWE NXT where Roxanne Perez competed against Mandy Rose for her NXT Women’s Championship. The match went down with Perez dealing with a kayfabe shoulder injury.
Despite the setback, The Prodigy kicked out of Mandy Rose’s pumping knee-strike knee finisher, making The Toxic Attraction leader irate. She tried to pick up the challenger for a slam, but Roxanne countered with a roll-up and then with her Pop Rox finisher to put an end to Rose’s 413-day title reign with the WWE NXT Women’s Championship.
Prior to this, Roxanne defeated Zoey Stark, Cora Jade, Kiana James, and Indi Hartwell in the first-ever Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match during Saturday night’s NXT Deadline PLE to become the new number-one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Roxanne is having a solid run on WWE NXT
Afterward, it was announced that Roxanne will challenge Rose for the title at the January 10 episode of WWE NXT dubbed New Year’s Evil. But then Mandy attacked Roxanne in the opening segment from behind with the championship belt. An angry Roxanne threw the challenge for a title match for later the night which was accepted by Mandy, right there.
Thus, Roxanne got to win her first singles title on the NXT brand on the December 13 episode. She is a former Women’s Tag Team Champion with Cora Jade and is now the second youngest NXT Women’s Champion (after Paige). Roxanne also won the WWE NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament to get a shot at Rose’s championship but she came up short during that match on the July 12 episode.
Mandy Rose created history with her title reign
As for Mandy, her title reign ended at 413 days. It started back at Halloween Havoc 2021 where she defeated Raquel Gonzalez in a Trick or Street Fight to win the WWE NXT Women’s Championship with the help of Dakota Kai. She is the third-longest reigning Women’s Champion in NXT history, only after Shayna Baszler (416 days) and Asuka (522 days).
