On the September 27, 2022, episode of WWE NXT, Gallus caused a lot of chaos and now they’re back to go after the tag titles. The trio of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang attacked WWE officials during their debut night on the brand and subsequently got suspended for their actions that night. New Year’s Evil marked the night that they returned to TV.

It happened during a tag team gauntlet in the January 10 episode of WWE NXT as Wolfgang and Mark Coffey emerged as Pretty Deadly’s next opponents in a Gauntlet Match to declare the new challengers for the NXT tag team titles.

New challenger determined for WWE NXT North American Title

In the opening match of WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, Tony D’Angelo and Dijak duked it out to settle their differences inside the ring, with a huge title math opportunity hanging in the balance. North American Champion Wes Lee was present at the commentary desk, watching the battle. Dijak eventually won the contest by delivering a big boot despite Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo’s interferences.

After the win, Dijak engaged in a staredown with Lee to end the segment as it was announced that Dijak will face Lee for WWE NXT North American Championship at a date yet to be confirmed. It will be the very first time that the two will compete in a match.
